A Covid-19 rapid testing system has been designed specifically for the special events industry. TLC’s years of experience doing virtual and live events taught them all about the unique challenges inherent in the events industry, but now health and safety is part of the attendee journey.
“Having the Los Angeles Lakers as one of our longest and most valued clients, we learned very early the challenges of rapid testing that needed to be accurate” TLC owner Kevin Bilida said. “We developed an events industry testing program very early on, learning from the NBA and what was necessary to create the “NBA bubble in Orlando”.
TLC offers licensed onsite friendly nurses to operate the onsite testing as well as all the necessary precautionary measures specific to events. TLC works with their clients to design a testing and safety program that matches their needs and budget. From large sporting events to smaller intimate gatherings, all events in these times will need testing and safety measures that don’t disrupt the attendee experience.
A recent event for a national non-profit, TLC set up testing stations at the hotel where the speakers and crew were staying. Everyone was tested the day before the event when they arrived to check into the hotel. This allowed the client to avoid the more costly quick tests and administer a 12 hour test instead. The 12 hour test is more accurate and cost effective. The speakers and crew all received their results the next morning before they got on the bus to the studio. Rapid testing stations were located at the studio for anyone that did not arrive the night before or who had not been tested.
TLC also set up the studio with all the necessary social distancing markings and hand washing stations. Custom masks were designed and given out when the negative test were confirmed, thus allowing security to easily see who had been tested and approved for entry. The masks also acted a branded give away for all the people involved with putting on and speaking at the event.
